The MyDukan connector lets you run your shop by chatting with an AI assistant such as Claude. You ask in plain words — "make a bill for Ramesh, 2 Vivo T4 at 18,000" — and the assistant does it in your MyDukan account.
- Safe by design: nothing is saved until you say yes, and bills, returns and vouchers are saved as drafts for you to approve in MyDukan.
- Your data stays yours: the assistant sees only what your own MyDukan login can see.
- Works on phone and computer: Claude app on Android and iOS, Claude desktop, and claude.ai in the browser.

Before you start
You need a MyDukan company login and a Claude account.

- Every staff member connects with their own login. Claude then sees only what that login can see.
- Changing company profile and print settings through Claude needs a company admin login.
Connect
The quickest way is one tap from the MyDukan app; you can also add the link by hand.
From the MyDukan app (recommended)
- In the MyDukan app, open Settings → Connect AI Assistant.
- Tap Connect with Claude. Your phone opens Claude's add-connector page with MyDukan already filled in.
- In Claude, tap Add, then Connect.
- A MyDukan page asks: "Allow Claude to use MyDukan as {your name}, {your company}?" Tap Allow. You do not type your password again.
- You are back in Claude. Start a new chat and ask about your shop.
If Claude is not installed, the button takes you to the store. Install it, sign in, then tap the button again.
By hand (any device)
- In Claude, open Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector.
- Name:
MyDukan. URL:https://api.mydukan.app/mcp. - Tap Add, then Connect.
- On the MyDukan page, enter your phone number, pick your company, enter your password.
- Start a new chat in Claude.

Ask the way you would ask a staff member; Claude asks for anything missing.

How saving works
Claude always shows you what it will save, and saves only after you say yes.
- Preview — Claude checks your request and shows the exact details: party, items, rates, GST, totals.
- You confirm — say "yes" to save, or ask for changes.
- Saved as a draft — bills, invoices, returns, vouchers and stock transfers are saved as drafts.
- You approve in MyDukan — stock and accounts change only when you approve the draft in the app.
- One exception — used-phone purchase: MyDukan saves this straight away (the phone goes into stock and the payment is booked). Claude tells you this clearly before you say yes. It can be undone only by deleting it in the app.
- Sale rates include GST. Purchase rates are before GST.
- Every record made through Claude is marked so you can tell it apart and review it.
- A preview expires after 10 minutes; ask again if it does.
What Claude cannot do
These stay in the MyDukan app, on purpose:
- Approve, cancel or delete any bill, invoice, return, voucher or transfer
- Edit approved documents — only drafts can be changed
- Pick IMEIs for sales and stock transfers — you pick them when approving in the app
- Financed used-phone sales
- Change back-dating days (how far back documents can be dated)
- Change the company plan or limits, users or devices
- Turn on the used-phone module — MyDukan support does this
Manage and disconnect
You can see and remove every connection from the MyDukan app; removal works instantly.
- Open Settings → Connect AI Assistant → Connected assistants.
- Each row shows the assistant's name, when it was connected and when it was last used.
- Tap Disconnect and confirm.
- The assistant stops working straight away; next time it asks you to sign in again.
- A company admin can disconnect any connection in the company.
- Connections not used for 30 days are removed automatically.
- You can also remove MyDukan from Claude's own Settings → Connectors.
Privacy and security
The assistant never sees your password and reaches only your own company's data.
- You sign in on MyDukan's own page; the assistant gets a separate access key, not your password.
- It sees only what your login can see, only when you ask something.
- Only the data needed for your request is sent to the assistant. The assistant's company handles it under its own privacy policy, and may process it outside India.
- Quick sign-in from the app uses a one-minute link and a 15-minute, one-time approval, and always asks you to tap Allow.
- Never sign in from a connect link someone else sent you.

Troubleshooting
